Choosing the Perfect Baby Name -Scott Zak

Shop Amazon Back to School - Save up to 50 on Select Backpacks Choosing a baby name can be one of the most fun and challenging aspects of having a new baby. Your baby's name will be an introduction to the type of person he or she is - for example, is your baby girl a 'Lilly', or is she a 'Rose'? In your baby boy a 'George' or a 'William'? Should your baby's name mean 'strength' or 'desire', or is the name's meaning not important? Parents, grandparents, friends, siblings, and family will be sharing their advice and ideas in helping you find a name for your child. Chances are you will spend hours trying to pin down that perfect baby name and you'll change your mind more than once along the way. But eventually, you will find a few names that you like best. Once you find a few different names, you can ask friends and family which name they like best. You can also compare your list to the top 100 baby names by decade or the most popular names of a specific year - maybe you want a popular baby name or maybe you prefer a unique name. Eventually, you will find the perfect baby name, and it will instill you with a sense of pride and achievement, both for you and eventually for your child. Selecting a popular name for your baby Today's favorite names may or may not be around tomorrow. While some names have proven the test of time, others have come and gone like leg warmers. There is an easy way to determine if a name has staying power, simply review the top 100 names by year using this site. We list the top 100 baby names for the past 125 years, by year. While choosing a very popular name today can be fun, it may mean your son or daughter will be one of many in their classes growing up. This isn't necessarily bad, but something to consider when selecting that perfect baby name. Selecting a baby name with the perfect meaning A great method in finding a perfect baby name is to understand the name meaning. You can find the perfect baby name meaning using one of two methods: 1) you can look up the meanings of your favorite names, and/or 2) you can take the BabyNamesUSA test. The tests helps you find the perfect baby name by choosing words that you believe are important or are words you want your future baby to possess - like loving, or gentle, or intelligent. The test will allow you to choose meanings that are significant and/or important to you - whether it's a characteristic you find admirable, or one in which you want your future baby to possess to become successful in life. Searching for a baby name using the origin/ethnicity/religion of the name One of the most common methods for selecting a baby name is using the origin and/or ethnicity of the baby name. This will give the baby an immediate source of identity and an understanding of the culture and origin of the baby's family heritage. In some religions, like Judaism, it is common to name a baby after a deceased family member, to honor loved ones who've passed. In many cases these names were from a different generation (see top 100 baby names by year, above) and may be 'out of style'. If this is the case, middle names are the perfect solution. Choose a baby name for each sex - so whatever the baby is, you are ready. Once you get the wonderful news that a new baby is coming, it will be a while until you can determine the baby's sex - IF you are considering finding out at all (food for thought - there is no better surprise, and nothing more worth waiting for). Having a boy's name and girl's name is a great start. Naming the baby after the parent - either a single name, or the entire name In order for your baby boy to become a Jr. (junior), or the 'II' (the second), the entire name should be the same as the father's. The father is the Sr. (senior), the son becomes the Jr. For example, John William Smith names his son John William Smith, the father is the Sr. /I, the son is the Jr. /II. If the son is the third generation to receive the name, the baby boy typically becomes the III (third). Be sure you want to name your baby boy, or baby girl, the same as a parent - it can lead to confusion growing up. If you know you want to name the baby after a parent, selecting a unique middle name may be the perfect solution. Your child will have to live with this name for a lifetime. The name you choose for your baby (and future child/adult) should be worn happily. Will family, friends and one day, employers 'take notice' for the wrong reasons? Remember, kids can be cruel - don't make life more challenging than it needs to be. Choose a baby name that you are proud of, and makes you smile. Naming your baby after family and friends that have a special place in your heart is a great place to start. Are their special attributes you want your baby to carry - choosing a name that means something special is also a great idea. Make sure the full name (first, middle and last) sounds good together. Say the baby's name aloud - is it easy or difficult to say the name? Choose a name that flows well together. Stay away from Jim Shoe (gym shoe) or names that when pieced together can have an alternate meaning. Write the full baby name down - as well as the initials of all names. If your baby name's initials make up another word - be sure you are comfortable with what results. For example James Earl Thompson (JET) may be acceptable, but think twice about names like Daniel Irving Petty (DIP). Spell it!! When writing the name down, was it difficult to spell and/or say? If you had problems, you may want to reconsider the name. Nicknames are inevitable. When your child goes to school, joins a sports team or club, chances are a nickname may be close behind. Some nicknames can be endearing, but others may not be what you had in mind when naming your baby. Many times, Alan Jackson results in AJ - be sure this is acceptable, as many times, it is ultimately out of the parents control. Naming your baby after a sports figure, movie star, or political hero Be sure you want to go this route, prior to naming your baby. While the name may be beautiful - it could become overly popular. Or, if the person falls out of favor, it may result in giving the name a negative stigma. Naming multiple babies If your family is going to increase by more than one baby, there a few things to consider. First, naming babies with the same first initial may be confusing - for you, the babies and future teachers. You may want to consider choosing different initials - giving each child a unique name. Second, choosing different initials may make things easier when accepting gifts containing your babies' initials. If each baby's name contains the same letters - it will be difficult in determining which gifts belong to which baby. This will only get more challenging. Religious & Traditional considerations Some families have a tradition in passing down names from generation to generation. Make sure you check with both parents' families first. Also, some religions don't allow babies to be named after living family members. Be sure to check your religious beliefs as well. Select multiple names for your baby. Chances are, you and your partner, your family, and others will all have a different name in mind. While the decision ultimately comes down to the parent(s), keep your mind open to suggestions. Not only will this help in selecting the best name for your baby, but it will make your life easier along the way. What if there is a pet with the same name we wanted to name our baby. Unless the name is Fido or Spot - we wouldn't worry much about it. We had a dog name Jordan (after Michael Jordan), and I've met many other people named Jordan. It is inevitable that someone somewhere named a dog, cat, fish or rabbit the same name you are considering for your baby. If you love the name - don't look back. I have a friend/family member who is considering the name I wanted for my baby. There are a few things you can do. If the person is going to move forward with the name, you may need to choose a new one (or try talking with them). Or you can find the meaning of the name, and see if a different name with the same meaning is appealing to you. For you parents that have yet to choose a name for your baby - you should learn from this lesson. You may want to keep you favorite names secret - or only share with people that 1) aren't going to have kids anytime soon or 2) you can definitely trust. Well-liked and/or unique names can become very popular, very quickly. I love the name - but others do not. Two points on this. 1. If the opinions of these people mean something to you, it is up to you and your partner whether or not you let other people's opinions change your mind. If their points are valid - it may be worth listening to the person. See 'Selecting a Name' 2. You will always be able to find someone that isn't crazy about the name you've chosen for your baby. If you are happy with your choice - then tune the person out. If that doesn't work, tell them thanks for sharing their opinion with you, and name your baby what you wanted to anyway. I like one baby name - my partner likes a different name. There are several things you can do to compromise. 1. One of you pick the first name, the other can select the middle name - or a nick-name for the baby. 2. Each of you can select a few names you each like, and see if one of those baby names makes you both happy. 3. If you are planning on having multiple children, you can take turns selecting the baby's name. You can pick the name for the first child, and your partner can pick the name of the next baby. Be aware - if you decide to do it this way, one of you may not be happy when it comes to the next baby's name. 4. Dart board - Put the different baby names on a dart board (or something similar), and throw away! If that doesn't work, try the 'flip-a-coin' method. My partner wants to name the baby after a family member - but I really don't care for the name (or the family member). Honesty is typically the best policy in most cases. If you are not thrilled with the name your partner has chosen for the baby, see article 'I like one baby name - my partner likes a different name'. There are ideas here that will help. One suggestion: It would probably be best if you didn't tell your partner that "You don't like the name they have chosen". It will be easier if you just say, let's consider that name, and come up with some alternatives as well. Or, if your partner is insistent on that particular name, you may want to use it as the baby's middle name. Tips on Getting Designer Clothes For Your Baby

Have you really considered the type of Clothes your Baby really need? Would do you think aboit buying a cute cloth that will give ur baby a nice fitting and would be quite simple – with so many cute and gorgeous outfits out there  these days, it is very easy for one to go wrong? The market is loaded woth myriad of designs and styles, which can suit your taste some others can be frustrating time-wasters. This is why will rather go for a designer set of clothes. This is why I set out to write this highly  informative article, meant to assist you select the best designer clothing for your newborn baby.

The first thing to look for when buying  Baby Clothes is the– Size Guide. While I was putting this article together I decided to get information from experienced mums and dads with new babies. The research also showcase some  experiences as a parent, As a guide I considered what would  be useful information prior to buying designer clothes for my little baby. An estimated size guide can be listed follows: 0000 – Newborns under 4kg – birth to 3 months 000 – Babies under 6 kg – 3 months to 6 months 00 – Babies between 6 and 8 kgs – 6 months to 9 months 0 – Babies above 8 kgs – 9 months to 12 months 1 – Babies above 10kgs – 12 months What you are to bear in mind that the sizes listed above are for guidance purposes only.

There are some babies that fit straight into 000’s at birth, while some will need 0000’s children with that are are usually big. There is one thing else we need to remember, this is that clothing sizes differ based on manufacturer. Cloth made by Bonds tend to be on the smaller, You may find that when you are buying Bonds clothing you may need to buy one size up as compared to what you would buy in other brands. You may be asking what Size Baby Clothes Should I Start With? At time of birth you’ll may be asked to take some baby outfits with you into hospital. You’ll be told as this is usually the requirement for women giving birth. I will suggest that your have a mixture of both 000’s and 0000’s to start with. The is difference in  time each child spend using each size really depends on how fast the baby grows but except you have a premature or very small baby, it will be good to get more 000’s than 0000’s is a good idea. The Top Tips For getting Designer Baby Clothes are:
1. Many mums put on Bonds Wondersuits or similar clothes in the early months. They are a very wonderful set of cloth, but don’t buy a whole pile – children can grow long and soon enoughtge will not be able wear the bodysuits again this is because with feet enclosed as his feet were too big for them! So I ended up putting him into pants and tops sets from the moment he was born. 2. The Bonds ‘Stretchies’ range is quite good as they have lyrca in them. Makes it easier to dress them. 3. Singlets for babies are well used these are good for hot weather you must be careful so your child does not catch cold. Research shows that most babies don’t like wearing things over their head so minimise cap over their head you should consider cold weather you just must wear them caps. You can buy bodysuit you can get them in short sleeves and long sleeves.  Socks are good for keeping on the babies feet. You Can also buy a sleeping bag for your baby to sleep in not try to avoid  button ones as it may get their  caught if they kick around a lot, like my son does! List of ‘Must Have’ Baby Clothes Here is a suggested list of clothing and number of items that you may need from birth. Ideally organise a mixture of 0000 and 000 as you can’t be sure how big baby will be at birth! 10 singlets or singlet suits Approx 4 each of long sleeve and short sleeve bodysuits 4 pairs of pants 4 long sleeved tops/jumpers 2 nice, matching outfits fo'r going out 2 jackets 4 other all in one outfits (cotton ones not terry towelling or flanellette) 2 cotton hats 1-2 pair mittens (if you think you’ll use them) Lots of socks – they always get lost! 2-3 sleeping outfits – you can just use all in ones / wondersuits for sleeping or sleeping bags. Further Baby Clothing Tips from BellyBelly Forum Mums Lucy recommends: Don’t be tempted to buy too much, especially with a 1st baby. People give you so much clothing and babies grow so fast, you literally cannot use it all! Accept hand-me downs – often they are the most practical and useful! For tiny babies, I found the plain, unfrilly Bonds growsuits to be unbeatable. Plain is good! Avoid anything with big collars, bows, buckles, anything that fastens up the back is a pain. Think about the climate your baby will be born into – what season? It may be that you really don’t need any singlets at all – or it may be that you really do need socks! Shannon recommends: With the seasons, remember that if you are in a cold climate, most of the time they’ll have a bunny rug wrapped around them, especially when newborn, so you don’t need to worry about too many ‘fancy’ outfits. As they get a little older and are crawling and walking, snap crotch pants are actually more of a hassle than pulling them down to change a nappy. The snaps pull open all the time and your baby will spend most of the time with a butt hanging out (well a nappy at least), or you’ll spend forever popping them closed. Especially true for overalls and jeans. I spent hours sewing up the snap crotches on the girls clothes from about 8 months old. Fi recommends: All-in-ones with the crotch fastening at the back are a nightmare. When they fasten at the front you can sort of pull the back down and through the legs – so much easier to fasten!! I have to say the pumpkin patch jumpsuits are really terrible for doing up easily – specially since my ones all fasten up at the back. However I LOOOOOVE the Pumpkin Patch all in one singlet suits. Their newborn size ones are a fantastic fit, even with a cloth nappy, and sit nice and high on the chest. I find the bonds ones slip down a little, and are a bit stretchy. Most of the old fashioned woolly cardies are really annoying and hard to get on. I bought a few and haven’t even used them. Don’t buy dark colours – they show spew so much more!!! ‘Morv’ recommends: I love the all in one jumpsuits at the moment, they are warm, comfortable and easy to put on. ‘MiMo’ recommends: I try not to buy the jumpsuits with feet on them – I found Hannah is growing so fast and the feet would be too small while the rest of the suit was huge. Chloe recommends: Don’t buy clothes to far in advance because you can’t predict that they will fit in a specific season. When I was pregnant I bought a lovely winter onesie in size 0 that was on special. Now I think that it will fit Yasin perfectly in the middle of summer. Sarah recommends: Lots and lots of bibs – if bub has reflux, you will really need heaps even when they are little. Try to get all in ones for when they are newborn so the elastic waists don’t irritate their cord stump. Kerrie recommends: It’s worth having one or two really nice outfits to take the baby out in to ‘show them off’, but more than that is a bit of a waste – they grow out of clothes before they wear out of them, so don’t go overboard spending money on designer clothes that will only fit for a couple of months. Trying to keep socks on a baby is an exercise in futility, better to go with slippers that do up firmly around the baby’s ankles. Most babies will try to kick off foot coverings and slip their feet out of socks, so anything that is loose-fitting is a goner! A couple of cozy, soft hats are a must for newborns – try to make sure that there are no irritating seams or rough fabric inside the lining. There are some beautiful bright felt beanies around these days that are soft and warm, or if you are lucky and your Mum knits, soft babywool is a winner. Catherine recommends: Keep the tags on all clothing (whether bought or not) until you work out whether or not they’re going to wear them in the right season. Don’t be afraid of taking things back for refunds (especially if they were gifts) because after all, money is money and you need every cent you can get with a newborn! Dee recommends: What I have found to be an absolute godsend are the baby nighties I put Matthew into them each night, it saves me having to fiddle around with the studs on the all in ones so makes my life so much easier and quicker at night. I love all my woolly cardigans I have for Matthew but the booties are a bit of a problem, most are too small, he has extra large feet and a lot of them keep falling off. Kellee recommends: Zip up fleecy vests are great alternatives to jumpers on moderate winter days. I have two and they are perfect for the autumn mornings – and they look so cute! Long or short sleeved jumpsuits with no legs are really good to go under long pants – this way you’re not worrying that bub’s belly will get cold if a shirt becomes untucked. Don’t buy anything new! In all honesty, I have only bought ONE new outfit for Charlie in his whole life (and he’s 9 months old!). Investigate good op shops (especially BEFORE you have bub) and go nuts. If you go once a week or fortnight on the same day you’ll get to know the staff and vice versa, and they may be able to look out for things for you. You’ll save so much money it’s not funny and you will also not feel so bad if something you bought in advance doesn’t fit in the right season (it’s better to “waste” $1 on a growsuit than $10!). Obviously, this can sometimes take a little more effort – you have to be prepared to spend a few minutes going through lots of items to find some good quality items – but it is well worth the time. I love op-shopping too, because it gives me something to do when I’m sick of being at home – I just plonk Charlie in front of the toy section while I’m browsing nearby and he loves it. Buy hats/beanies with some kind of fastening device (obviously you have to be safety concious when you’re looking for them). Charlie doesn’t keep any of his hats on, so I invest in those with chin straps. Get bub used to wearing hats and sunglasses early – not only is it a good habit to get into, it will make it easier later and save more struggles. Michelle recommends: I love sleeping bags – my bubs is always out of the blankets and cold so by using sleeping bags she stays warm and sleeps longer. I don’t really put shoes on my children before they are one year old, they just pull them off and it is better for them to walk without them. You definitely need 2 or 3 nice outfits for going out and remember that you also need to take changes of clothes when you go out, just in case of leaks or spills. Bibs with elastic are better than tie-ups. Wool cardigans look gorgeous with little dresses. Definitely accept all offers of clothes, and return or throw out/donate to op shop what you really don’t want. Ebay is a great source of clothes at bargain prices especially brand names. Sometimes really cheap clothes go out of shape after one wash, so take care in choosing material which feels like it is good quality. I have noticed some Kmart, Best & Less and Big W clothing that does this. Follow Kelly, BellyBelly’s Creator on Google+ and become a fan of BellyBelly on Facebook. BellyBelly is also on Twitter. Preparing For and Making the Best of a Baby Bash

Shop Amazon birthday Gift Cards - Instant Delivery or Free One-Day Shipping ,
In life the most precious days in our lives is our birth Most especially for our precious baby. Many people do a lot of things to celebrate birthday. There is nothing that is too much when it comes to doing things for our children especially our babies-at least they are the reason why we are working. If you are planning for birthday bash I'll like to show you some tips to get that baby bash on the roll. When thinking of a party of this sort there are some things you need to do. One, preparation, preparation is of essence and that is why we must Create a theme that you would like to follow. would you like the baby bash to be in the form a sci-fi or will adventure? Will it be outdoor or indoor how much do you need ti spend to get your desired results, will there be need to give birthday gifts to the children coming for the bash? These are what you should put in mind when preparing. You may also need to hire an amusement park or even get a clown or mascot. Whatever you decide, the baby bash needs to be well-thought of to keep it organized as well as having assurance of the safety of the guests. The second thing you think of is style. Usually the bash depends on the age of the baby many times people tend to put a great emphasis. For one year olds, you can engage the services of clowns so that he or she can facilitate the party since the most important guests would be the little children. The party may also include some Magic shows and mascots would be sufficient to make the experience an unforgettable one. If you are organizing a party for two year olds and older, a costume party or an amusement park theme would be the solution to keep the kids happy since the children can now walk. You can use the Balloons to keep them preoccupied. The next thing is to send out invitation. The first people to be invited are your neighbours and then you have to look into your network of friends You should also bear i mond that this friend network can increase since you meet other moms and dads who have babies near your baby's age group. In the bash their kids are your guests and not the parents. So the baby bash must give kids the best of experience. Then we talk about the feeding of the kids. Since this is a kiddie party, finger foods should comprise most of your menu. Kids easily get tired of food and so small portions must be served at them. If possible, separate the food of the parents with the kids, if the parents were invited. There may times when the when this birthday parties involve adults then it will become a get together. Such events usually are exhilarating parents should be carefully so as not to be carried away with their private discussion and the children stray. Whatever we do lets not forget that the pleasure and the comfort of you child is paramount. Incase you have a child that is afraid of clowns. You have to think of an alternative pleasurable activity in case this happens. After the bash all the food, the favors and trimmings gone, it is time to clean up. The remainder of the food should be given to mothers to take home as this not only reduce wastage and spoilage of food, it would also keep the kids occupied as they go back home, in case they start asking for food. Because there are kids who play all throughout the party and do not pay attention to the food. All should be done to make the bash a less stressful experience since most bash are held on a weekend in order to prepare for the week ahead. It could be an experience that we'll never forget. Ty Warner Baby beanies: The baby toy of all time?

A Looney Tunes Year Luck O' the Irish Michigan J. Frog Mini Bean Bag Plush Toy
It will be worthy of note to state that Ty Warner brought the first baby beanies in the market in 1994. Very few people know that beanie baby were first made by him. He made wonderful design in making the beanie more attractive and lifelike. Unlike other babies toy the beanie does not have much stuffing inside. Usually, baby toys were stuffed to the hilt and they were stiff. While

Ty's beanie baby was half filled with stuffing and half filled with beans. This was where it gotname beanie baby. As it is with every new innovation competitors sneered and said that his toys would not see the light of the day. But exactly the opposite is what happened!
Ty Warner made originally made nine different types of beanie which are called "original nine". The first is Spot the dog, the second Squealer the pig, the third Patti the platypus, the fourth Cubbie the bear, the fifth Chocolate the moose, Pinchers the lobster is the sixth, Splash the killer whale the seventh, the eight was Legs the frog and lastly Flash the dolphin. All the baby beanie are made with a short poem attached which was meant to introduce the beanie toy to the toddler. It usually was written on a red heart-shaped tag and attached by the animal's ear.
Nobody can tell how many baby beanies are really in existence since there are many lines developed that create a family of baby beanies. Above all the most famous of all the beanies TY Warner created was"teddy-bear" it was one of the most amazing ever that was created. The idea was just re-used and different colors were utilized to create a family. Different names were given to each teddy bear in keeping with the usual tradition of giving each one a name. Some teddy bear beanies were mostly used for special events and anniversaries such as in the Fourth of July today there is a Diana, the Princess of Wales have been made a collector's item. Today all over the world people use teddy bears for different things.
Most of the official baby beanies were mostly animal shapes which were in the form of cats and pigs, dogs and hippopotamuses. They usually come brightly colored and styled form to make them pleasing in the eye. Like I said earlier It always comes with his or her own name. And it has its own date of birth. And most important of all, a short poem that describes what it is.
In 1966 there was wht was called the baby beanie craze. It was a time when a frenzied collection of baby beanies started. This led the founder, Ty Warner to retire some of the baby beanies to bring up even more the sales and improve the marketing side of his products. Many people bought alot in wholesale in anticipation of the possible future value of a single baby beanie. However, just like every other fads that easily rise and can be easily forgotten, the baby beanie craze was just like one of them. But it will important to note that Baby beanies are here to stay this is because babies usually prefer soft toys that they can easily hug and bite and hold easily in their hand. Baby beanies need not be in the same family of baby beanies to be appreciated. A colllection of baby beanies usually show the kind of personality the baby has or as some may say it, it speaks the kind of personality the giver has.
